Alex nears PSG exit

Brazilian defender Alex looks set to leave Parc des Princes in the summer transfer window, according to L’Equipe.

The 31-year-old will be out of contract in just over a month and it appears as though he will not be offered a new deal by the club.

L’Equipe has revealed that the experienced defender has not received an offer from the Saints, which is enough to suggest they will allow his current deal to run out.

The same source has suggested that AC Milan are ready to offer Alex an escape route from Parc des Princes.

It certainly comes as a surprise that PSG officials do not want to keep hold of the Brazilian considering he has performed at a high level since arriving from Chelsea.

Alex went on to make 70 Ligue 1 appearances and scored 6 goals in the process, helping the Saints win back to back league titles.
