Spanish daily newspaper AS has suggested that Atletico Madrid are weighing up move for Roma star Miralem Pjanic.
With both Gabi and Tiago not getting any younger, los Colchoneros are eager to rejuvenate the midfield department in the near future.
And having already secured the services of River Plate starlet Matias Kranevitter, Atletico are now turning their attention towards Miralem Pjanic.
Los Colchoneros officials have been impressed with the Bosnian’s performances in Italian Serie A and they will attempt to lure him to Vicente Calderon at the earliest opportunity.
Roma’s €45 million asking price could prove to be a problem, but Atletico representatives will, nonetheless, give their best to try and prize the 25-year-old away from Stadio Olimpico.
Miralem Pjanic developed into a key member of the Giallorossi squad shortly after arriving from Lyon and has so far managed 18 goals in 129 Serie A appearances for the Italian giants.
