Chelsea eyeing Greizmann-Costa swap deal

The Express understands that Chelsea are trying to negotiate a swap deal that would he see them sign Antoine Greizmann from Atletico Madrid, with Diego Costa moving in the opposite direction.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho has become frustrated with Costa, who has been getting attention for all the wrong reasons this season.

The Spain international has scored just three goals in all competitions so far this season, compared to the nine he scored in his first seven league appearances for the club after initially signing from Atletico Madrid last summer.

Griezmann has however been in fine form since he signed for Atleti last summer, scoring thirty-two goals in sixty-nine games.

Chelsea had recently been linked with a £40m move for the France international, though that fee could drop to £24m if they were to include Costa in the deal.

The reigning Premier League champions host Norwich City on Saturday afternoon and can be backed at 2/5 for the win.
