Fulham defender Johnny Heitinga is widely tipped to move to German Bundesliga in the summer transfer window, Bild has revealed.
The Netherlands international only joined the Cottagers on a short-term deal from Everton in January, but he looks set to leave after the club were relegated to the Championship.
And with his contract due to expire in less than a month, the 30-year-old should have no shortage of offers in the coming weeks.
According to Bild, German Bundesliga appears to be his most likely destination, with Hertha Berlin eager to lure him to Olympiastadion this summer.
However, with Heitinga currently earning around €2 million per campaign, he will probably have to agree to a pay cut in order to facilitate a move to Germany.
The experienced defender believes regular playing time will help him return into international reckoning, with the player missing out on Louis van Gaal’s World Cup squad.
