Italian champions Juventus have been unsuccessful in their approach for Atletico Madrid forward Angel Correa, Sky Sport Italia has suggested.
The Bianconeri were hoping to recruit the Argentine if Alvaro Morata left, and they notified the player’s employers of their intentions.
However, Juventus were told that Correa was not for sale, meaning they will now have to look elsewhere.
The 21-year-old wasn’t able to nail down a regular starting berth at Vicente Calderon, but he amassed a total of 26 league appearances, scoring 5 goals and moving in front of Luciano Vietto in the pecking order.
As a result, the club chiefs are very satisfied with his performances and believe he can develop into a very important member of the side.
The highly rated youngster overcame a heart condition after joining Atletico Madrid from San Lorenzo and he quickly went on to prove that he has the quality needed to perform at the biggest stage.
