Defending champions Porto maintained their unbeaten start to the Liga Sagres season after trouncing Maritimo 5-0 on Friday.
Colombian duo Jackson Martinez and James Rodriguez netted a brace each as Porto moved three points clear at the top of the table, with rivals Benfica set to play on Saturday.
Martinez broke the offside trap before rounding goalkeeper Ricardo Ferreira for Porto’s opening goal on four minutes.
Silvestre Varela doubled the hosts’ advantage with a stunning effort from outside the area with 10 minutes remaining in the first half.
Martinez bagged his second on the hour-mark after latching onto a through ball from Portuguese international midfielder Joao Moutinho.
Moutinho was at it again 12 minutes later, playing in Rodriguez with a delightful pass for his first goal of the night.
And the former Banfield striker completed the rout with his second five minutes later.
