Bulgarian defender Stanislav Manolev has joined Kuban Krasnodar, the Russian club have announced on their official website.

Having arrived at the club as a free agent he was able to sign a contract outside the winter transfer window.

Manolev was presented to his new teammates on Friday and subsequently took part in his first training session at Stadion Kuban in Krasnodar.

The 28-year-old has been without a club since January when he was released from his contract at PSV Eindhoven.

And it was at Philips Stadium that he enjoyed the best years of his professional career, having made 76 league appearances for the Dutch giants and scored 3 goals in the process.

Manolev is a right-back who can also operate further up the pitch and he remains a very important player in Bulgaria national team. The full-back has featured in eight 2014 World Cup qualifiers and scored no less than three goals.
