Sporting Kansas City defender Aurelien Collin has revealed that he is hoping to move to one of Europe’s top leagues in the near future.

The 27-year-old has developed into one of MLS’s top centre backs over the last couple of years, and he looks set to leave his current employers for greener pastures.

With the Frenchman’s current deal valid for another year, he could easily be leaving Sporting Kansas City in the winter.

And while he has revealed that New York Red Bulls and LA Galaxy are showing interest in his services, Collin has hinted that he would prefer a return to Europe.

“I have a contract for another year, and of course I want to return to Europe,” the highly rated stopper told France Football.

“Major European championships attract me. Big MLS clubs like New York and Los Angeles want me, but my ambition is to play at a good level in Europe, this winter.”

Aurelien Collin has failed to leave his mark on European football, having featured for Gretna, Panserraikos, Wrexam and Vitoria Setubal before moving to the United States.

The Frenchman has made a total of 88 league appearances for Sporting Kansas City, scoring no less than 12 goals.
