Monaco are seriously considering a summer bid for Atletico Madrid star Diego Costa, according to France Football.
Having shown a great deal of potential this season and qualified for the Champions League, the Principality club aim to further reinforce the squad in the summer.
And France Football has learned that Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa is one of the first names on their hit-list.
Monaco officials plan to pair Radamel Falcao with the player who proved an excellent replacement for the Colombian at Vicente Calderon, with the €38 million release clause unlikely to be a problem.
However, the French giants are likely to face a stiff competition for the player’s signature as other European giants are keen as well.
Diego Costa, 25, has been in stunning form this season, having 34 goals in 45 competitive appearances and he is expected to be one of the hottest commodities in the summer transfer window.
