Italian daily newspaper Il Mattino is reporting that Napoli are showing inetrest in Primeira Liga stars Ezequiel Garay and Jackson Martinez.
Having failed to mount a serious title challenge in Serie A this season, the Azzurri plan to seriously reinforce the squad over the summer.
Signing a high-quality centre-back appears to be the priority at the moment and Il Mattino understands that Benfica’s Ezequiel Garay is high on their wish list.
The Argentine is widely tipped to leave the Eagles for greener pastures after spending last three years at Estadio da Luz.
Meanwhile, the Azzurri are also on the lookout for a new striker as they need back up for star player Gonzalo Higuain.
Napoli seem to be showing interest in FC Porto forward Jackson Martinez, although the Colombian is unlikely to be interested in playing second fiddle to the Argentine, especially as he has offers from Europe’s top clubs.
