Russian newspaper Izvestia is reporting that Rubin Kazan are set to complete the signing of Ukrainian striker Marko Devic from Metalist Kharkiv.
The Russian giants have been desperate to sign a new striker after Jose Salomon Rondon was sold to Zenit, and they have less than 12 hours until the winter transfer window closes to try and succeed in their quest.
Nevertheless, Izvestia has suggested that they have had a €6.5 million offer accepted by Metalist for experienced striker Marko Devic.
The Serbian-born forward is expected to sign a three-year contract worth €2.3 million per campaign, with the deal expected to be wrapped up ahead of the transfer deadline.
Marko Devic, 30, returned to Metalist following a short spell with Shakhtar Donetsk and has managed to score 15 goals in 17 league matches this season.
He also netted 4 times in six 2014 World Cup qualifiers for Ukraine but could not help his adopted national team qualify for the tournament finals.
