Paris Saint-Germain forward Jean-Christophe Bahebeck has joined fellow Ligue 1 side Valenciennes on loan for next season.
The 20-year-old spent all of last season on loan at Troyes, scoring three goals in his 27 appearances for a side that finished second bottom of the league.
Having come through the youth academy at the French champions, he has found it difficult to break through into the first team and another loan move is expected to give him more experience than being a squad player in the capital.
Bahebeck is currently with the France U-20 squad for their World Cup in Turkey, where he will line-up alongside the likes of Paul Pogba and Geoffrey Kondogbia.
And Valenciennes president Jean-Raymond Legrand is already looking forward to the youngster arriving at the club for next season, having seen off a number of clubs to capture his signature.
“Jean-Christophe arrives ready to strengthen our forward line,” the president told the club’s official website.
“He is a talented young player, he has shown recently.
“Thanks to PSG for this loan and in particular President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and Leonardo.
“Several clubs interested in hosting Jean-Christophe in their workforce but his priority was immediately Valenciennes. We are very pleased to welcome Jean-Christophe. I welcome him and a lot of success with Valenciennes!”
