Nicolo Barella in high demand

Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella has emerged as a top target for a number of Italy’s top sides, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 20-year-old is a product of club’s youth academy and he did well to nail down a regular starting berth last term after a successful loan spell with Como.

Barella has been in fine form this season, netting once in four Serie A starts and he is now being linked with a big club move.

AC Milan were the first top side to show interest in his services, but AS Roma and Napoli are in the mix as well.

The Italian giants will continue to monitor Barella’s performances and there is a chance they will step up their interest in the coming months.
