Opening this weekend’s fixtures sat fifth in the table, Neil Critchley’s side were last seen earlier in the week picking up a thumping 4-1 win against an impressive Gillingham at Bloomfield Road. Managing to build off of that deserved 2-0 victory against Swindon on their travels when opening April, Blackpool are enjoying a remarkable 13-match unbeaten run, a run that stems all the way back to February 6th. Opening up this weekend’s fixtures still holding onto a two-point buffer at the top of the table and appearing to cruise towards a confirmed top-three finish, Mark Bonner’s side have really been a standout pick this year. Led by leading marksman Paul Mullin who has recorded a remarkable 28 fourth-tier strikes so far this season, Cambridge have really bounced back from that close-fought defeat against Bolton last month. Managing to muster themselves 13 points from just their last five League Two matchups, it should also be noted that The Yellows have won each of their last three straight contests at The Abbey Stadium. Looking to lay down another marker in Cambridgeshire, Bonner’s men should be smelling a golden chance.
