16:00 CET Everton vs Stoke
Heavily reinforced Toffees open their account against the traditionally resilient Stoke City. Ronald Koeman did a great job reinforcing his squad during the summer transfer window and Everton are keen to make a strong start into the new season and justify the favourites’ tag that’s slapped on their back. Stoke City are left without influential forward Marko Arnautovic who moved to West Ham and getting anything out of their trip to Goodison will be a challenge for mark Hughes and his men.

18:30 CET Brighton vs Manchester City
Premier League’s new boys Brighton & Hove Albion have a mountain to climb in their first match in the top tier. Manchester City head into the new campaign with a significantly changed squad and improved ambition of challenging for major honours on all fronts. Having finished the last season without a single trophy for the first time in his managerial career, Pep Guardiola has a huge point to prove. It’s been a busy summer for the Citizens so far and the arrivals of goalkeeper Ederson, left-back Benjamin Mendy, right-backs Kyle Walker and Danilo, should be enough of a guarantee that Manchester City will be able to maintain a clean sheet in their new season’s opener.

18:30 CET PSV vs AZ Alkmaar
Dutch giants PSV have not had the best of starts to the new season as they got eliminated from Europe in embarrassing fashion. The Eindhoven club suffered a 2-0 aggregate defeat to Croatia outfit Osijek and will need a strong start in the Eredivisie to make amends for the Europa League frustration. Philip Cocu is struggling to keep key players in and has already watched Davy Propper being snapped up by Brighton in a record deal, whereas Crystal Palace are eyeing goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet which could come as another huge blow. Nevertheless, Cocu will demand a strong start to the season and we are fairly certain that PSV will be able to dispatch AZ Alkmaar in a home opener.

Sunday, 13th August
17:00 CET Manchester United vs West Ham
Red Devils will look to ruin Javier Hernandez’s return to Old Trafford on Sunday in their opening match of the new campaign. Jose Mourinho’s men suffered a defeat in the UEFA Super Cup to Real Madrid and will need a win to help them restore confidence ahead of the real challenges this season. Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof have had mixed introductions at their new club, but they are expected to step up and help their club get over a hammering challenge. Slaven Bilic is fairly optimistic given great work his club has done during the summer transfer window with Chicharito, Marko Arnautovic, Pablo Zabaleta and Joe Hart as the most prominent signings but his chances of getting a positive result at Old Trafford are limited.

21:00 CET Guingamp vs PSG
With former Barcelona star Neymar leading the line, PSG have no alternative but to get their new Ligue 1 season rolling with another three points in the bag after the opening home win against newcomers Amiens. Les Parisiens are determined to restore Ligue 1 dominance after losing the title to AS Monaco last year and there is no better way to send a message to your rivals than compelling back-to-back wins at the beginning of the season. Unai Emery’s men are expected to make a strong start and we have no doubt they will emerge victorious from their trip to Guingamp.
