With the new Premier League season finally get back underway, some of the pre-season contenders will kick off their campaign when the likes of Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal desperate to get some points on the board. Along with action across the MLS start to heat up, we have found a handful of helpful tips from across the globe that can boost your Sunday acca.

Sunday 12th August

02:00 BST Colorado Rapids vs San Jose Earthquakes

Starting with two sides that have spent the majority of the season battling it out at the bottom of the Western Conference, Anthony Hudson’s Colorado side will look to continue their impressive run of form and widen the advantage over their opponents on Sunday. With The Rapids coming off the back of a 2-1 win over a high-flying LA Galaxy side last week, the hosts have now lost just one in their last five and after picking up a hard-fought penalties victory over Argentinian powerhouses Boca Juniors last month, spirits are high around Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. While The Rapids may have failed to record a clean sheet in their last four, they have begun to impress in the final third. Now scoring two goals in each of their last four, one man to watch is Kellyn Acosta. The 23-year-old has now score two in his last two and has arguably been Colorado’s key man. As for Mikael Stahre’s San Jose side, now sat four points adrift at the bottom of the West, although The Earthquakes are coming off the back of a shock 3-1 win over Dallas last week, they have been drastically short of form throughout their campaign. Despite ending their 16 match winless run last time out, they have only managed to win one of their last nine matches on the road and we expect this could be another tough evening.

Tip: Home win and both teams to score @ 13/5

13:30 Liverpool vs West Ham

Starting with this summers biggest spenders, after bringing in the likes of Allison, Keita and Fabinho to Anfield, many belive that Liverpool will be City’s biggest rivals this year. Coming within touching distance of lifting the Champions League in Kiev, Jurgen Klopp’s side have continued to shine in pre-season and coming off the back of a 3-1 win over Torino on Tuesday night, The Reds managed to win their last four pre-season outings on the bounce. Collecting the scalps of Pep Guardiola’s side, Napoli and an eye-catching 4-1 win over bitter rivals Manchester United, while they have only collected one clean sheet in their last five, they have been in lethal form in the final third. Finding the net 12 times in their last four, one man to watch is talisman Moh Salah. After lifting the Golden Boot last season, the PFA Player of the Year scored 48 times in all competitions last season. As for The Hammers, like their hosts, West Ham have also enjoyed a stellar transfer window and broke the £100 million barrier, with only Liverpool spending more. Bringing in the likes of Jack Wilshere and Felipe Anderson, former City boss Manuel Pellegrini has enjoyed an impressive pre-season tour. With Makro Aranuotvic scoring eight times during pre-season, the visitors won their last five matches on the bounce and also lifted the Betfred Cup out in Austria.

Tip: Home win and both teams to score @ 8/5

16:00 Arsenal vs Manchester City

For The Gunners, without Arsene Wenger in their dugout for the first time in 22 years, Arsenal have done well adapting to life under former PSG bos Unai Emery. Coming off the back of a 2-0 win over Lazio in their final pre-season outing, aside from a penalties defeat to La Liga giants Atletico Madrid in the ICC, the hosts won all of their other friendly outings. While there is optimism around The Emirates, a Premier League managerial debut against a record-breaking Manchester City side will be an incredibly tough task. One man that Pep Guardiola will be looking to lead the line will be last weeks Man of the Match and double centurion Sergio Aguero. Scoring a brace against Chelsea in the Community Sheild final last weekend, the Argentinian hitman also boasts a stellar record against Arsenal. Aguero has now scored against The Gunners eight times in his 12 meetings with them and also has four in his last four against Emery’s side.

Tip: Sergio Aguero to score anytime @ 1/1
