Ahead of a Tuesday filled with action from both England and the return of the Champions League, we here at Soccer News have found a handful of helpful tips that can boost your midweek acca:
Tuesday 12th February
BST 19:45 Birmingham vs Bolton
Although Birmingham may have had their struggles entering 2019, Gary Monk will be hoping their 4-3 win away at QPR can kick start their second half of the season. Now unbeaten in their last three Championship appearances, the Blues have scored nine goals on that run and their success in the final third has come largely down to the form of leading goalscorer Che Adams. Rejecting a long list of Premier League admirers to stay put at St. Andrew’s, the 22-year-old grabbed yet another brace at Loftus Road on Saturday. More impressive, now bagging 19 goals for the season, Adams also has eight goals in just his last six Championship appearances. With the chance to potentially move within a point off the playoff positions, Adams and Birmingham should be relishing Bolton’s arrival on Tuesday night. The Trotters are coming off the back of a 2-1 loss at home to Preston and have now failed to win any of their last six matches across all competitions. Already sat five points adrift of safety and way down in 23rd position, Bolton have failed to register a single clean sheet on the road since the middle of September.
Tip: Che Adams to score anytime @ 1/1
19:45 Hull City vs Rotherham
While Nigel Adkins may have seen his Hull side slump to a 2-0 loss away at Derby on Saturday, the mood in the Tigers camp should be on a high. Still potentially dreaming of a playoff push in the back end of the season, it has been their form at the KCOM Stadium which has most people talking. Tuesday’s hosts have now remarkably won their last five home matches on the bounce and are yet to taste defeat on home soil since the end of November. Along with Jarrod Bowen already scoring 15 goals this season, it has been Hull’s defensive stability that has made the biggest improvement this campaign. Scoring 16 goals in their last five matches at the KCOM, Adkins’ side have now gone over 300 minutes without conceding a home goal. Keeping a clean sheet in five of their last six matches at the KCOM, the hosts should be confident of extending that tally. With Rotherham now picking up just one win in their last 16 matches across all competitions, the Millers have famously struggled on the road this year. The Reds have now failed to pick up a competitive away victory since the start of April 2018 and they have now failed to score a single goal in their last four matches on the road.
Tip: Home win to nil @ 2/1
20:00 Manchester United vs PSG
Well, picking up a 3-0 win away at Craven Cottage over the weekend and extending Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s unbeaten run to 11 matches, few would have expected Manchester United’s revival. Now climbing back into the top-four in the Premier League, the mood in the Red Devils’ camp couldn’t be any higher. With Tuesday’s hosts now playing with a newfound attacking identity, they are now unbeaten in their last 10 matches at Old Trafford and have scored two or more goals at home in their last seven consecutive matches. Unsurprisingly, one man to watch on Tuesday night will be midfielder Paul Pogba. Netting a brace against Fulham on Saturday, the World Cup winner has now scored four goals in his last four top-flight appearances. As for PSG, while the defending Ligue 1 champions might hold a 10-point buffer at the top of the table, there have been some minor cause for concern in Thomas Tuchel’s squad. Unable to call upon the likes of Neymar, Edinson Cavani, Marco Verratti and Thomas Meunier, the Blues have also shown some struggles on the road of late. PSG have now won just one of their last four Ligue 1 matches away from the Parc des Princes, a run that has seen them drop points against Lyon, Strasbourg, and Bordeaux.
Tip: Home win @ 11/8
