12th October: Saturday’s Football Accumulator – 7/1

While the international break may have brought a halt to Europe’s top-tiers, that doesn’t mean we’re short of action from across England’s lower leagues this weekend. On that note, we here at Soccer News have found a handful of helpful tips that can boost your Saturday acca:

Saturday 12th October

BST 15:00 Bristol Rovers vs MK Dons

Starting with Saturday’s hosts, while Bristol Rovers may have only managed to open the 2019/2020 League One campaign with just one win in their opening four contests, Graham Coughlan’s men find themselves enjoying a real purple patch. Picking up a 1-0 win over Rotherham last time out, The Pirates have won their last three matches across all formats and the mood around The Memorial Stadium continues to rise. Also now enjoying a five-match unbeaten run in the third-tier, a run that stems back to the 31st of August, a huge part of their recent resurge has come thanks to their form on home soil. Including their victory over Rotherham last time out, the hosts are yet to taste defeat in Gloucestershire so far this season and should be confident of extending that winning run this weekend. While the mood in Bristol Rovers’ camp might be on the rise, the same can not be said for Saturday’s guests. Putting in yet another woeful display in their 3-0 hammering at home to Burton last weekend, former Exeter boss Paul Tisdale is coming under increasing scrutiny. Freefalling down to 17th in the standings, they have also now lost their last four League One matches on the bounce and have scored just a single strike on their losing run.

Tip: Bristol Rovers win @ 11/10

15:00 Peterborough vs Lincoln City

While Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson might be disappointed to have only picked up a single victory in their last four League One appearances, the Posh are gaining a reputation for their high-scoring encounters. Playing out a dramatic six-goal thriller against fellow play-off hopefuls Wycombe last weekend, they do sit just one point adrift of climbing into the top-six. Scoring a trio of each of their previous two appearances, one man to watch this weekend will be the red-hot Mo Eisa. Forming a scintillating partnership with Ivan Toney, the 25-year-old once again found the net against Wycombe last time out and now has nine League One goals to his name so far. More impressive, along with bagging three strikes in back-to-back outings, Eisa’s nine strikes have come in his last nine appearances. While Lincoln might have picked up a much-needed 2-0 win over Sunderland on home soil last weekend, the Imps are still struggling to adjust to life since Danny Cowley’s departure last month. Losing three of their last four, including a humiliating 6-0 hammering against Oxford last month, Lincoln have also failed to win any of their last six matches on the road, losing five of those contests.

Tip: Mo Eisa to score anytime @ 6/5

15:00 Crawley Town vs Colchester United

Starting with Saturday’s guests, still boosted by their famous EFL Cup victory over Tottenham last month, the Essex outfit have continued their form in England’s fourth-tier. Picking up a 3-1 win away at Stevenage last weekend, John McGreal’s men are enjoying a four-match unbeaten run in League Two, winning three of those contests. Now sat just a single point adrift of the play-off positions, there is no doubt that fans around The JobServe Community Stadium will be most impressed by their side’s form on their travels. Colchester have lost just one of their last seven matches across all formats on the road, including a thumping 3-0 win away at Swindon a fortnight ago. While the mood around Essex might be continuing to rise, Saturday’s hosts find themselves desperately searching for a morale-boost. Suffering a 3-1 loss against Forest Green last time out, Crawley are now in the midst of a three-match losing run and have failed to win any of their previous four League One appearances. It is also worth noting that Gabriele Cioffi’s men have lost three of their previous four meetings against Colchester and we’re backing a high-flying U’s to be confident of extending their winning run in West Sussex this weekend.

Tip: Colchester Draw no bet @ 5/6
