14th December: Saturday’s Premier League Accumulator – 10/1

With a hectic Saturday afternoon of action from across England’s top-flight, we here at Soccer News have found a handful of helpful tips that can boost your weekend Premier League acca:

Saturday 14th December

BST 15:00 Burnley vs Newcastle

Starting with Saturday’s guests, leaving it late to snatch a dramatic 2-1 victory over Southampton last weekend, few across the Premier League would have expected Newcastle’s stellar resurge. Despite many being skeptical of former Sunderland boss Steve Bruce taking over during the summer, the Magpies have lost just one of their last seven top-flight appearances, a run that stems back to the 19th of October. Along with snatching a famous point off of defending champions Manchester City last month, the North East outfit also really caught the eye with their 2-0 win away at a stubborn Bramall Lane last week. One man to keep an eye out for on Saturday will be midfielder talisman, Jonjo Shelvey. The former Liverpool midfielder has bagged three Premier League goals in as many appearances and he and his team should be confident of causing another upset on the road. Hit with a 5-0 hammering against Tottenham last weekend, Burnley find themselves in the midst of a three-match losing run and many around Turf Moor are starting to fear their side could be dragged into a relegation scrap. Along with losing three of their last four matches in Lancashire, it should also be noted that Newcastle did land back-to-back victories when they faced off against the Clarets last season.

Tip: Newcastle double chance @ 8/11

15:00 Leicester vs Norwich

Picking up a 4-1 win away at Villa Park last weekend and putting in another dominant display, Leicester have continued to take the Premier League by storm. Now seen to be Liverpool’s leading title contenders and with an EFL Cup quarter-final later this month, Brendan Rodgers’ men have won each of their last eight top-flight matches on the bounce and have a Champions League return on the horizon. One man who has continued to steal the show at the King Power this season is leading marksman and attacking talisman, Jamie Vardy. Bagging a brace in the Midlands last weekend, the 32-year-old is in hot demand to come out of international retirement and leads the race for the Golden Boot. With 16 Premier League strikes this year, Vardy has now scored in each of his last eight appearances on the bounce, finding the net 11 times on his stellar purple patch. Given Norwich’s continued issues at the foot of the table, there is no doubt that the Foxes MVP should be confident of extending on his tally at the King Power. Throwing away a one-goal lead at home against Sheffield United last time out, Norwich have won just one of their last 11 appearances and already sit five points adrift of safety. It should also be noted that Daniel Farke’s men have shipped two or more goals in six of their last seven appearances.

Tip: Jamie Vardy to score 2+ goals @ 15/8

17:30 Southampton vs West Ham

While Southampton may have tasted late heartbreak away at Newcastle last weekend, the Saints should see Saturday as a golden opportunity to secure a route out of the drop zone. With only their goal difference keeping them in the bottom-three, they have arguably saved their best performances for home soil. Landing back-to-back 2-1 wins at St. Mary’s, one man who has continued to shine this season has been leading marksman, Danny Ings. Finding the net in the North East last time out, the one-time Liverpool striker has now bagged 10 goals in his last 10 matches across all competitions. Even more impressive, the 27-year-old has found the net in each of his last five Premier League matches on the bounce. As for the visitors, eventually hit with a 3-1 defeat at home against fellow strugglers Arsenal on Monday night, West Ham have continued on a woeful run of form. With Manuel Pellegrini’s position becoming more untenable by the week, the Hammers have won just one of their last 11 matches across all formats and have continued to show some glaring defensive issues. Saturday’s guests have also shipped two more goals in six of their last seven matches outside of East London.

Tip: Danny Ings to score anytime @ 11/8
