15th January: Saturday’s Football Accumulator – 13/1

With Europe’s top-tiers now fully back in the swing of things after opening 2022, we have another stacked schedule on our hands this weekend. So, for those of you looking to stick on a Saturday acca, we have found a handful of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Saturday January 15th

BST 14:30 Stuttgart vs RB Leipzig

Starting with Saturday’s guests, while RB Leipzig might have endured what has been a largely downbeat campaign so far this season, the Whites will be boosted by the way they opened 2022. Breezing their way to a 4-1 romp against Mainz on home soil, it appears that the German giants are enjoying life under new boss Domenico Tedesco. With their sights set on trying to find a route back into the European places this weekend, Die Roten Bullen have lost just one of their last five matchups across all formats. On a run highlighted by a shock 2-1 win against Premier League champions Manchester City last month, the former Schalke manager also has one attacking star enjoying a free-scoring run. Once again finding the next against Mainz last weekend, Portugal striker Andre Silva has racked up seven goals in his last eight outings. On the flip side, despite snatching a point against a rock-bottom Furth on their return from the international break, Stuttgart find themselves at the heart of a relegation scrap. Suffering a thumping 5-0 defeat against Bayern Munich last month, Saturday’s hosts will know they face a huge task here. Suffering a 4-0 romp when they faced off against Leipzig in the reverse fixture, Silva and co should be smelling a real chance.

Tip: RB Leipzig win & Andre Silva to score anytime @ 5/4

15:00 Huddersfield Town vs Swansea

Managing to mount a stunning FA Cup comeback away at Premier League outfit Burnley last weekend, Huddersfield have continued on a real purple patch this season. Eventually leaving Turf Moor with a late 2-1 victory, the Terriers have enjoyed a remarkable rise after only just hanging onto their Championship status last year. Still sat in the play-off places and gaining a host of plaudits under Head Coach Carlos Corberán, Saturday’s hosts are unbeaten in their last seven matchups across all formats, a run that stems back to November 27th. Likewise, on a run highlighted by a 1-0 win away at Nottingham Forest last month, the Yorkshire-based outfit have also collected 10 points from their last four Championship matchups. Last seen at the John Smith’s Stadium picking up an action-packed 3-2 victory against Blackpool, it’s also worth highlighting that Huddersfield have lost just a single home fixture since the middle of September. As for Swansea, crashing out of the FA Cup after a 3-2 defeat at home against Southampton, the Whites find themselves in the midst of what has been an extended rut. Still battling it out in the bottom-half of the table, Russell Martin’s men have lost each of their last four matchups across all formats.

Tip: Huddersfield Town win @ 33/20

15:00 Manfield Town vs Walsall

Starting with Saturday’s hosts, last seen earlier in the week claiming a stellar 3-2 win against fellow play-off contenders Swindon, Mansfield have only continued on a stunning run. Skyrocketing their way up the League Two table, the Stags now have their sights firmly set on securing what would be a shock promotion this season. Despite crashing out of the FA Cup against Championship outfit Middlesbrough last weekend, Nigel Clough’s men have remarkably won each of their last six straight fourth-tier matchups, a run that stems all the way back to November 23rd. in fact, it should also be noted that the former Burton boss has seen his side win 11 of their previous 13 matchups across all formats. Smelling a golden chance on home soil here, Clough’s side have also won seven of their last eight fixtures at Field Mill, a run highlighted by a 2-0 win against automatic promotion contenders Tranmere. As for Saturday’s guests, last seen getting hit with a thumping 3-1 defeat away at Stevenage, Walsall find themselves almost stuck in League Two limbo. With just a single win from any of their last seven contests, it should also be noted that the Saddlers have shipped a trio of strikes in back-to-back outings. Suffering three straight losses on the road, we’re backing a home victory here.

Tip: Mansfield win & over 1.5 goals @ 6/4
