Another Critical game in the run in of this years Premierleague sees a Tottenham team brimming with confidence after their defeat of arch local Rivals Arsenal, take on a fabulous Chelsea team who seem to be steam rollering their way to the title.
Harry Redknapp will be absolutely delighted that his team have skipped their first hurdle in what is a tough final leg to win champions league football. They still have Chelsea and Manchester United to play, but if they hit the heights of the Arsenal match who is to say this it couldn’t happen. The Tottenham players will be full of confidence and their opportunity is ripe with Manchester City playing a tough game against Man United. Tottenham are just one point behind their rivals Man City and they know that if City are to slip up then they have to be gaining maximum points to be able to take advantage. Redknapp has a fairly healthy squad to ;pick from, although they could do without the contyinued absence of Pacy winger Aaron Lennon.
Chelsea will be confident of dispatching Tottenham after their crucial victory away at Man United last week but they come up against a Tottenham team in form and with confidence to match. Chelsea have a more or less full strength squad to choose from too and they haven’t looked like dropping points at all since their fall out from the champions league. Chelsea currently sit at the top of the table, a full four points clear of Manchester United in second place. Their only enemy could be over confidence as they look to have built up a nice healthy lead.
This is a very tricky one to call but I thikn with the form of both teams, and Tottenhams home advantage, a draw is the most liely result.
Verdict: Draw
