17th February: Sunday’s Football Accumulator – 13/1

While the Premier League might be taking a break this weekend, that doesn’t mean we’re short of action from across the footballing world. On that note, we here at Soccer News have found a handful of helpful tips that can boost your Sunday acca:

Sunday 17th February

BST 15:15 Valencia vs Espanyol

Picking up an impressive 2-0 win away at Celtic and putting one foot in the quarter-finals of this year’s Europa League, the mood in Valencia’s camp should be on a high. Now unbeaten in their last six matches across all competitions, Marcelino’s men are also yet to be beaten in La Liga since the 5th of January. With the Bats having their sights set on making a push for the top six in the second half of the season, it has been their ongoing form at the Estadio de Mestalla really leading their resurge in 2019. Now losing just one match on home soil this campaign, coupled with netting 10 goals in their last five appearances in Valencia, Sunday’s hosts should be relishing Espanyol’s arrival this weekend. While the visitors may have picked up a hard-fought 2-1 win over Rayo Vallecano last week, Periquitos have struggled with their form entering the New Year. Sliding out of the top half of the table and without a clean sheet in their last 10 matches, it will be their form on the road giving Rubi the biggest headache. Espanyol are without an away win in their last 10 attempts and more worrying, they have conceded two or more goals in nine of those outings.

Tip: Home win and over 2.5 goals @ 7/4

16:00 Swansea vs Brentford

While Swansea might be coming off the back of a 2-1 loss away at Championship league leaders Leeds in midweek, Graham Potter should be confident of bouncing back on their return to the Liberty Stadium. Sunday’s hosts are now enjoying a five-match unbeaten run in South Wales and the Swans will also be boosted by their recent record against their Championship rivals. Picking up a 3-2 win when the two sides last met back in December, they have now won their last five matches against the Bees. One man who has played a huge part in Swansea’s push for a playoff finish is leading goalscorer Oli McBurnie. Bagging a brace in the Whites’ 4-1 win over Gillingham in the last round, the 22-year-old has already found the net on 16 occasions this season. More impressive the Scotland international has now scored eight goals in his last seven appearances. Although Brentford have begun to refind their form since the departure of Dean Smith last year, Sunday’s visitors have had their biggest issues away from Griffin Park. Playing out a 3-3 draw with Non-League side Barnet in the last round, Thomas Franks’ side have remarkably managed to win just one of their last 16 matches on the road. Shipping seven goals in just their last three matches away from London, McBurnie should be confident of extending his tally on Sunday.

Tip: Oli McBurnie to score anytime @ 6/4

19:30 Napoli vs Torino

Currently sat 11 points adrift of Juventus in the race for the Serie A title, but also holding a 14-point buffer from slipping out of the Champions League positions, Napoli almost find themselves sat in limbo. With a top-four finish already all but confirmed for another season, Carlo Ancelotti will be desperate for his side to simply keep the pressure on the Old Lady. Picking up a 3-1 win away at FC Zurich and on course to book their spot in the quarter-finals of this year’s Europa League, the former Real Madrid boss will be looking for leading goalscorer Arkadiusz Milik to lead their charge on Sunday. With 14 goals to his name and currently sat fourth in Serie A’s goalscoring charts, the Poland international now has eight in his last eight league appearances. Holding the second best minute per game ratio in Italy’s top-tier, Milik will be one man relishing Torino’s visit to the Stadio San Paolo. Walter Mazzarri’s side are without an away victory in their last six attempts, a run that stems back to the start of November. With Torino slumping to a 3-1 loss when the two sides met back in September, Milik should fancy his chances of extending his recent tally this weekend.

Tip: Arkadiusz Milik to score anytime @ 21/20
