The football season is coming to an end with top four places up for grabs in the Premier League while over in Spain the title is still not quite decided. We’ve picked out a tasty fivefold that could bring in a decent return.
Friday 19th May
CET 19:45 Granada v Espanyol
Tony Adams has still not picked up so much as a point since taking over at Granada and his short managerial reign at the Liga side could come to an ignominious end with defeat by Espanyol. Friday’s visitors lost narrowly to Valencia last time out but will be expected to take all three points from a team that have managed just four home wins all season.
Tip: away win @8/11
Saturday 20th May
CET 17:00 Chievo v Roma
Roma take on Chievo fresh from beating Juventus 3-1 last weekend to maintain second place in Serie A. The Giallorossi can’t afford to relax, however, with Napoli just a point behind and with only two games left to play. Luciano Spalletti’s men are big favourites to take all three points on Saturday against a side that has just one win their last eight games.
Tip: away win @2/9
CET 20:00 Sevilla v Osasuna
Sevilla finish off their season with a visit from already-relegated Osasuna. Jorge Sampaoli’s side have already clinched fourth spot and cannot overtake Atletico Madrid in third so there is little riding on the result. However, with Sampaoli widely tipped to leave the club to take over Argentina, the team will surely want to send him off with a victory to celebrate a fine season.
Tip: home win @1/7
Sunday 21st May
CET 15:45 Celta Vigo v Real Sociedad
Celta Vigo are on a simply awful run of form and have will have to make do without top scorer Iago Aspas on Sunday after his midweek red card against Real Madrid. Sociedad, meanwhile, kick-off the weekend in seventh but could end it as high as fifth, depending on results elsewhere, so will not lack for motivation at Balaidos.
Tip: away win @3/4
CET 16:00 Watford v Manchester City
Manchester City are virtually guaranteed a place in the top four but will want to go out in style against Watford in what will be Walter Mazzarri’s last game in charge of the Hornets. The host have lost their last five games in a row and anything other than an away win will be something of a shock.
Tip: away win @3/10
