The 2019-20 UEFA Champions League Round of 16 draw has been completed, and now all teams know which teams will be their opponents heading into the knockout stages of the competition. As it’s always the case, some teams were benefited while others will have a tough time trying to reach the quarterfinals.

Among the benefited teams, we can find Valencia, Barcelona and Juventus. Los Che will take on Atalanta — arguably the weaker side on the knockout stages — while Barcelona will play against a Napoli side that looks like a shell of their former self. Meanwhile, Juventus will play against Olympique Lyon. The reigning Serie A champions somehow managed to avoid facing teams such as Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund or Chelsea.

Chelsea and Madrid were two of the teams that wouldn’t feel lucky after the draw. While The Blues will go up against Robert Lewandowski and Bayern Munich, Los Merengues will face Pep Guardiola and Manchester City. The former Barcelona manager will return to Santiago Bernabeu, but this time as manager of the Sky Blues.

Dortmund and Atletico Madrid might not feel very well after the draw, either. While The Yellow Bees will meet PSG, Atletico will have to deal with the threat of facing Liverpool. The reigning trophy holders are massive candidates once again, so Diego Simeone will have a tough challenge if he wants to move his side into the quarterfinals.

The other match of the knockout stages will be Tottenham against RB Leipzig. This would be the toughest game to predict considering both sides play with an exciting, attacking style. Tottenham have the edge on a name-to-name basis, while Leipzig have been the better team of the two when it comes to form during the current season.

Real Madrid – Manchester City
