With a hectic Saturday afternoon of action from across all of England’s footballing tiers, we here at Soccer News have found a handful of helpful tips that can boost your weekend acca:
Saturday 21st September
BST 12:30 Leeds vs Derby
Starting with Saturday’s hosts, after putting in their usual dominant display and securing a 2-0 win away at Barnsley last weekend, Leeds have reclaimed their spot at the top of the table and the mood in their camp remains at a high. Still seen to be a huge favorite to secure a route back to the Premier League come may, fans around Elland Road will be most excited by their sides newfound defensive resolve. Along with former Chelsea starlet Patrick Bamford enjoying a bright start to the season and already bagging four Championship strikes, the Whites have now recorded four clean sheets in their last five appearances in the second-tier and have conceded just a single goal in over 500 minutes of action. While Leeds might be enjoying a bright start to the year, the same cannot be said for a Derby side low on both form and confidence. Freefalling down to 18th in the standings and still struggling to adjust to life under new boss Phillip Cocu, last year’s play-off finalists have failed to win any of their last six matches across all competitions, including crashing out of the League Cup thanks to a 3-0 hammering against Nottingham Forest last month.
Tip: Leeds win to nil @ 7/5
15:00 Burnley vs Norwich
Starting with Saturday’s guests, although Norwich may have shown some signs of a struggle prior to the international break, Daniel Frake’s men bounced back in some style last weekend. Picking up a famous 3-2 win over defending Premier League champions Manchester City at Carrow Road last time out, the Canneries find the confidence in their camp the highest it has been since making their top-flight return. With their attacking style helping them gain a long list of admirers from across England, one man who has really continued to shine is leading marksman, Teemu Pukki. Once again finding the net against Pep Guardiola’s men last weekend and also scoring in back-to-back matches while away on international duty, the Final international already has six Premier League goals to his name. More impressive, Pukki has also found the net against Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea in his opening outings. As for Saturday’s hosts, snatching a hard-fought 1-1 draw away at Brighton after returning from the international break, Burnley still find themselves in the midst of a struggle. Freefalling out of the top half of the table and now failing to win any of their last five matches across all competitions and have also suffered back-to-back defeats at Turf Moor.
Tip: Teemu Pukki to score anytime @ 11/8
15:00 Solihull Moors vs Yeovil
While it might have been a worrying start after dropping out of the Football League last season, Yeovil appear to have finally found their feet. Climbing up to fourth and seen to be a favorite to secure a route back to League Two on the first attempt, the Glovers are coming off the back of another eye-catching display in their 3-2 win over fellow promotion hopefuls Fylde last weekend and have now won their last four matches on the bounce. Along with continuing to shine in the final third, Head Coach Darren Sarll will also be looking for a similar performance to their last display outside of Somerset. Picking up a 2-0 win over league leaders Halifax a fortnight ago, Yeovil should be confident of extending their winning run this weekend. While Saturday’s guests might be continuing to shine, the same cannot be said for a struggling Solihull Moors. Despite many tipping the hosts to find themselves in the play-off chase this season, they are coming off the back of a season-worst display in their 3-0 hammering away at Barrow and Tim Flowers side have failed to win any of their last five National League outings, losing four of those appearances.
Tip: Yeovil draw no bet @ 13/8
