Despite the festive season, football is one of the few places where things are getting even more busy as the glut of matches is more than enough for the fans to sink their teeth into. The leagues across Europe have a number of exciting games to come, and we have found a few decent bets for you to take a look at.

Saturday 23rd December

12:30 BST Everton vs Chelsea

Sam Allardyce faces a huge test with his Everton side as the reigning champions are in town. The Toffees have not lost in their last five, winning four and drawing once, while they are up to ninth in the league with 25 points and they are at last playing some good football. Chel, on the other hand, and are looking to keep up with Manchester City as their hopes of defending their title fade with each passing game. A loss here would be a huge blow, and perhaps Allardyce’s men can capitalise on this as they look to continue their own revival.

Tip: Home win @ 5/1

15:00 Swansea vs Crystal Palace

It is a case of panic stations now for Swansea as they are currently at the foot of the Premier League table and without a manager. Paul Clement was sacked having won just three games this season, and the Welsh side need to improve drastically if they are to stay up. Crystal Palace have been on the up since Roy Hodgson took over and they are up into 14th in the table. On current form, there is only one victor here.

Tip: Away win @ 13/10

15:15 Valencia vs Villarreal

Valencia have not been as unbeatable as they had seemed earlier in the season as they have fallen some way off the pace in the league. Barcelona are now eight points ahead of them, but Valencia have won 10 games this season, and they will be looking to make it 11 at the weekend. Villarreal are currently in sixth with 24 points, but in their last five, they have won just once, drawing once and losing three times. While this is a big game for both sides, Valencia’s home advantage should play a big part in this one.

Tip: Home win @ 21/20

17:00 AC Milan vs Atalanta

Eighth hosts seventh in Italy on Saturday as both AC Milan and Atalanta will go all out to best the other. Milan have taken 24 points from their 17 games as they sit a massive 18 points short of the top. In their last five games they have won just once, and they are in need of a morale-boosting win. Atalanta have also taken 24 points this season, but they have been able to win twice in their last five, and they will fancy themselves to take all three points from this one.

Tip: Away win @ 21/20

17:30 Burnley vs Tottenham

It could be one of the games of the weekend as Burnley host Tottenham on Saturday. Sean Dyche’s men have been outstanding this season and, after nine wins from 18 games, they have collected 32 points, meaning they are just two points behind Liverpool in fourth and the last Champions League place. Tottenham currently sit one point and place below their opponents and they cannot afford to lose more ground on those above them. However, Burnley are formidable at home, and they will not feel like they have anything to fear on Saturday.

Tip: Home win @ 6/1
