24th May: Friday’s Ligue 1 acca – 10/1

With the 2018/2019 Ligue 1 campaign drawing to an end on Friday night, we here at Soccer News have found a handful of helpful tips that can boost your Friday acca:

Friday 24th May

BST 20:05 Angers vs Saint Etienne

Starting with Friday’s visitors, while Saint Etienne are unable to make a last-ditch push for the top-four ahead of their trip to the Stade Raymond-Kopa, it has been a stellar end to the year for Jean-Louis Gasset’s side. Already securing another Europa League return for next year and coming off the back of an impressive 3-0 win at home to Nice last weekend, Les Verts have won five of their last six Ligue 1 appearances and have tasted defeat just once since the 10th of March. A huge part of Saint Etienne’s European push this season has come down to their continued performances on the road. Gasset’s side have picked up back-to-back victories away from the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard and are unbeaten in their last four matches on their travels. While Friday’s visitors might be enjoying a bright end to the year, the same cannot be said about a struggling Angers outfit. Shipping five away at Lille last weekend and on the verge of slipping out the top half of the Ligue 1 table, Friday’s hosts have picked up just one victory in their last five appearances and have registered just a pair of wins since the 23rd of February. Also enduring a five-match winless run at the Stade Raymond-Kopa, we’re backing a high-flying Saint Etienne to come away with the victory on Friday.

Tip: Saint Etienne win @ 13/8

20:05 Nimes vs Lyon

While Lyon may have endured a minor blip on their three-match losing run last month, Les Gones are certainly ending their Ligue 1 campaign on a high. Coming off the back of another dominant display in their 4-0 victory at home to Caen last weekend, Bruno Génésio’s side have secured another campaign of Champions League football for next year. Picking up back-to-back victories over Caen and Marseille over their past two appearances, Friday’s visitors are unbeaten in their last five outings, winning four of those contests. Really starting to shine in the final third and now scoring 14 goals on their unbeaten run, one man who has continued to shine this year is former Manchester United forward, Memphis Depay. Bagging a brace last time out, the Dutch international has four goals in his last five Ligue 1 appearances and has now registered 18 goals this season. While Lyon might be enjoying a free-scoring end to the year, the same can be said about a resurgent Nimes outfit. Playing out a 2-2 draw against relegation scrappers Guingamp last weekend, Bernard Blaquart’s side are enjoying a three-match unbeaten run and have all but secured a top-half finish. a huge part of Les Crocodiles’ end of year push has come down to their continued showings and the Stade des Costières. Friday’s hosts are enjoying a four-match winning run in front of their own supporters and are yet to taste defeat on home soil since the 19th of January. Even more impressive for Blaquart, his side have scored two or more goals in six of their last eight matches at home.

Tip: Over three goals @ 10/11

20:05 Nice vs Monaco

While Nice may have suffered a 3-0 loss away at Ligue 1 high-flyers Saint Etienne last weekend, Patrick Vieira will be impressed with his sides’ stability at the end of the year. While any chance of securing a European finish is off the cards for Friday’s visitors, they have tasted defeat just twice since the 10th of March and a huge part of their end recent success has come down to their continued performances at the Allianz Riviera. Les Aiglons have won six of their last nine appearances in front of their own supporters and have lost just one of their last 13 Ligue 1 matches on home soil, a run that stems all the way back to the end of November. As for Friday’s visitors, while Monaco’s 2-0 win over Amiens may have all but secured another top-flight season for returning boss Leonardo Jardim last week, it does not cover what has been a very worrying campaign for last year’s runners-ups. The Red and Whites have managed to win just one of their last eight Ligue 1 encounters, a run that stems back to the middle of March. A huge part of Monaco’s issues this campaign has come down to their continued struggles away from the Stade Louis II. Friday’s visitors have failed to win any of their last four matches on the road and have picked up just a single Ligue 1 away victory since the 4th of December.
