26th January: Saturday’s Football Accumulator – 14/1

With another action packed weekend of football ahead, we here at Soccer News have found a handful of helpful tips that can boost your Saturday acca:

Saturday 26th January

BST 15:00 Aston Villa vs Ipswich

Starting with the hosts, while Dean Smith’s side might still be struggling to find a win after a difficult run of form, fans around Villa Park will be hoping their 2-2 draw against high flyers Hull will inspire them to push on. Now failing to win any of their last five matches across all competitions, a run that stems back to Boxing Day, one man who has continued to impress despite the Villans problems is striker Tammy Abraham. Turning down a potential move to local rivals and Premier League outfit Wolves earlier in the month, the Chelsea loanee once again found the net against Hull last weekend. The 21-year-old has now bagged 17 goals this campaign, including 14 in his last 13 appearances. Given Ipswich’s dismal season and being universally tipped for the drop this season, Smith should be confident of picking up a much-needed win and a clean sheet. Paul Lambert’s side now sit four points adrift at the bottom of the table and their form on the road has been a huge cause for concern. The Trotters have lost their last six matches on the road and have remarkably failed to score a single goal in any of those six outings.

Tip: Home win to nil @ 6/4

15:00 Accrington Stanley vs Derby

Knocking out Southampton and booking their spot in the fourth round of this year’s FA Cup, the mood in Frank Lampard’s camp should be on a high. Also putting in another impressive showing in their 2-1 win over Reading last weekend, Derby hold a two-point buffer in the playoff positions and the former Chelsea midfielder has his sights set on a long Cup run. Now scoring two goals in three of their last four matches, Lampard and fans around Pride Park will be very excited by their form of Liverpool loanee Harry Wilson. Extending his stay until the end of the season, the 21-year-old once again found the net against the Royals last Saturday and now has four goals in his last four appearances. Traveling to League One side Accrington Stanley for their fourth-round tie, Wilson and co should be confident of extending their winning run. The hosts are coming off the back of a 1-0 loss to Charlton and have now failed to win any of their last three outings, including a 4-2 hammering at home to Bury earlier in the month. With Lampard expected to name a strong XI at the Wham Stadium, we’re backing a comprehensive win for the visitors this weekend.

Tip: Away win and over 2.5 goals @ 15/8

15:00 Bromley vs Eastleigh

While only one place may separate Bromley and Eastleigh in the National League table, the two sides couldn’t have entered 2019 in a different fashion. Although Neil Smith’s hosts may have struggled at the start of the season, the Whites have begun to show some real signs of improvement. Coming off the back of a 1-1 draw away at Dover last weekend, Bromley are now enjoying a five-match unbeaten run in England’s fifth-tier. Winning four of those outings and dreaming of a surprise playoff push in the second half of the season, Smith will be most impressed by his sides form at the H2T Group Stadium. Bromley have won their last four home matches on the bounce, including a 2-0 win over title contenders Wrexham. As for the visitors, although Eastleigh may have managed to pick up a 3-2 win over Sutton last weekend, they have struggled with their consistency entering 2019. Now falling out of the playoff positions, it will be their form on the road giving Ben Strevens the biggest headache. Eastleigh have failed to win any of their last five away matches, losing four of those appearances. Also conceding two or more goals on that winless run, we’re backing Bromley to come away with another win on Saturday.

Tip: Home win @ 11/10
