The end of the season is nigh but this weekend will see trophies handed out all over Europe with cup finals in England, Scotland, France, Germany and Spain all taking place. As such we’ve picked out a tasty fivefold that could yield a very nice return.
Saturday 27th May
CET 15:00 Celtic v Aberdeen
Scotland’s top two will battle it out for the Scottish Cup on Saturday with Brendan Rodgers’ side hoping to complete a treble. The pressure will undoubtedly be on the Hoops at Hampden but they have looked unstopabble in Scotland this season and will be expecting to add yet another trophy to their collection.
Tip: Celtic to win @4/9
CET 17:30 Chelsea v Arsenal
The FA Cup final sees champions Chelsea take on an Arsenal side demoralised by finishing fifth and with huge injury problems in defence. Laurent Koscielny and Gabriel are definitely out while Shkodran Mustafi is also expected to sit out the game after suffering concussion. The Gunners have beaten Chelsea this season but on current form, and with Arsene Wenger’s side weakened at the back, it’s hard to see anything other than Antonio Conte’s men running out winners.
Tip: Chelsea to win @4/5
CET 19:00 Eintracht Frankfurt v Borussia Dortmund
Over in Germany Borussia Dortmund take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the DFB-Pokal final. This is the fourth year in a row BVB have made it to the final although their record is poor, having lost their last three finals. Both teams have tasted victory over each other this season and although Dortmund should be favourites, one thing that seems more certain is that there should be goals in this one.
Tip: Both teams to score @3/4
CET 20:00 Angers v Paris Saint-Germain
PSG have already triumped in the Coupe de la Ligue this season but will be hoping to add the Coupe de France on Saturday after losing their Ligue 1 title to Monaco. Unai Emery’s side are massive favourites to win and in Edinson Cavani have a forward who has enjoyed a stunning season and will be out to end it on a high.
Tip: Cavani to score anytime @2/5
CET 20:30 Barcelona v Alaves
Barcelona saw rivals Real Madrid take their Liga crown last weekend and so will be keen to avoid ending the season empty-handed in the Copa del Rey. This will be Luis Enrique’s final game in charge of the Blaugrana before he steps down and although they will be without Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi is bang in form and usually saves his best for the big games.
Tip: Barcelona to win @1/7
