30th November: Saturday’s Football Accumulator – 13/1

With an action-packed Saturday afternoon from across the Premier League and the Championship, we here at Soccer News have found a handful of helpful tips that can boost your weekend acca:

Saturday 30th November

BST 15:00 Chelsea vs West Ham

Although Chelsea may have managed to just collect a point out in Spain on Wednesday night while on Champions League duties, Frank Lampard’s side open the weekend in fourth and have continued to gain a long list of admirers from across England. Despite suffering a 2-1 defeat away at the Etihad last weekend, Frank Lampard’s side caused the defending champions a string of questions and they have continued to shine in the final third. While they will be unable to call upon leading marksman Tammy Abraham this weekend, the former England midfielder will be hugely excited by the on-going success of winger Christian Pulisic. Once again finding the net against Valencia in midweek, the USA international has bagged five goals in his last four Premier League appearances and should be confident of extending on his recent purple patch at Stamford Bridge. Shipping yet another trio of goals against Tottenham in East London last weekend, West Ham have begun free-falling down the table and have continued to show some glaring issues at the back. Losing six of their last seven top-flight matchups, including their last three matches on the bounce, the Hammers have also shipped three goals in each of those defeats. With West Ham so publically struggling defensively, we’re backing Pulisic to once again find the net this weekend.

Tip: Christian Pulisic to score anytime @ 7/5

15:00 Burnley vs Crystal Palace

Putting in another dominant display and picking up a 3-0 win away at relegation scrappers Watford last weekend, Burnley find themselves enjoying quite the resurge nearing closer to Christmas. Landing back-to-back 3-0 victories, including a thumping performance against West Ham earlier in the month, the Clarets open the weekend in seventh and the mood around Turf Moor is starting to soar. Also winning three of their last four matches in Lancashire, one man who has continued to spearhead Burnley’s free-scoring antics is the red-hot, Chris Wood. Finding the net on the road last time out, the New Zealand international has been a standout performer for Saturday’s hosts this season and has now found the net in each of his last three Premier League matches on the bounce. Even more impressive, the one-time Leicester striker has six strikes in his last six top-flight appearances. As for Saturday’s guests, while Palace may have put in a spirited display against Liverpool last weekend, the Eagles could only slump to a 2-1 defeat and have continued to struggle on what has been an unenviable run. Losing their last three matches on the bounce, Roy Hodgson’s men have also lost four of their last five and have not recorded a victory since the 5th of October. It should also be noted that Palace have failed to record an away clean sheet this season.

Tip: Chris Wood to score anytime @ 8/5

15:00 Barnsley vs Hull City

Putting in arguably a season-best display to pick up a thumping 4-0 win over Preston at the KCOM in midweek, Hull have continued on what has been a stellar run of form. Winning four of their last six and tasting defeat just once over the past six weeks, Grant McCann’s men have a shock play-off charge on their agenda. One man who has continued to lead the Tigers’ recent purple patch has been leading marksman and attacking talisman, Jarrod Bowen. Once again stealing the show against Preston on Wednesday and bagging another brace, the winger has recorded four strikes in his last two appearances. Reportedly attracting a string of interest from the Premier League, the 22-year-old has already recorded 14 goals heading into December and even more impressive, Bowen now has nine goals in just his last seven Championship outings. With Barnsley so publically struggling at the foot of the table, there is no doubt that Hull’s MVP should be confident of extending on his tally this weekend. Despite turning to former Wolfsberger boss Gerhard Struber earlier in the month, the Reds have now lost their last three matches on the bounce and have failed to record a single victory since the opening weekend. Sat five points adrift at the foot of the table, it should also be noted that Barsnely hold the worst defensive record in the second-tier.

Tip: Jarrod Bowen to score anytime @ 13/10
