31st March: Sunday’s Football Accumulator – 13/1

With another hectic Sunday afternoon of footballing action from across Europe, we here at Soccer News have found a handful of helpful tips to boost your weekend acca:

Sunday 31st March

BST 14:00 Amiens vs Bordeaux

While many would have had Amiens tipped for relegation entering 2019 few would have expected their impressive resurge at the back of the campaign. Picking up a point away at Angers prior to the international break and extending their unbeaten run to four matches, Christophe Pélissier’s side now hold a seven-point buffer over the relegation zone. Looking to mount a very surprising push for the top half of the Ligue 1 table, it will undoubtedly be their form at the Stade de la Licorne most impressing Pélissier. Amiens have now won their last three matches in front of their own fans and have conceded just one goal in over 300 minutes at home. While Sunday’s hosts might be enjoying a purple patch at the end of the season the same cannot be said for a struggling Bordeaux side. On a run of form that has seen them fail to win any of their last five Ligue 1 outings, it has been their form on the road playing a huge part in Paulo Sousa’s struggles. Les Girondins have failed to win any of their last six away matches across all competitions and have lost five of those contests. More worrying, Bordeaux have scored just one goal on the road in 350 minutes of action. It is also worth noting that Amiens picked up a 1-0 win when the two sides met at the Stade de la Licorne last season.

Tip: Home win @ 6/4

16:30 Liverpool vs Tottenham

Picking up a hard-fought 2-1 win away at Craven Cottage prior to the international break, Liverpool once again find themselves topping the Premier League table, even if the Reds have played one game more than Manchester City. Also booking their spot in the quarter-finals of this year’s Champions League and enjoying a 13-match unbeaten run, Jurgen Klopp’s side have won their last three appearances on the bounce. Scoring nine goals on that winning run, one man who is really spearheading Liverpool’s title charge is the red-hot Sadio Mane. Once again finding the net on international duty with Senegal, the 26-year-old has bagged 17 Premier League goals this season and has now registered nine strikes in his last nine top-flight outings. With Tottenham still struggling with their form at the back end of the season, Mane should be confident of extending his recent tally. Slumping to a 2-1 loss away at Southampton prior to the international break, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have failed to win any of their last four Premier League matches, losing three of those contests. Also losing their last three top-flight matches away from Wembley, Spurs have conceded two goals in each of those defeats. Given Tottenham’s ongoing defensive issues away from North London, we’re backing Mane to once again find the net on Sunday.

Tip: Sadio Mane to score anytime @ 7/5

17:00 Eintracht Frankfurt vs Stuttgart:

Picking up a famous 1-0 win away at Italian giants inter Milan and booking their spot in the quarter-finals of this year’s Europa League, Eintracht Frankfurt are enjoying a stellar campaign both in the Bundesliga and in Europe. Picking up another victory over Nurnberg prior to the international break, Sunday’s hosts are enjoying a three-match winning run and yet to lose a single contest since the 22nd of December. With the opportunity to potentially leapfrog both Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig this weekend, another victory on Sunday would see them climb into the Champions League positions. One man to watch on Sunday will be Frankfurt’s leading goalscorer and 21-year-old sensation Luka Jovic. Bagging 15 Bundesliga goals this year, the Serbian international holds the best goal to minuete ratio in Germany’s top-tier. Facing a Stuttgart side firmly at the heart of a relegation battle, Jovic and co should be confident of extending their winning run. Sat three points adrift in the relegation playoff position, Sunday’s visitors have picked up just one win in their 13 matches in 2019. Also failing to win any of their last eight matches on the road, Stuttgart have also two or more goals in seven of their last eight matches away from the Mercedes-Benz-Arena With Frankfurt picking up a commanding 3-0 win when the two sides met back in November, we’re backing a similar result on Sunday evening.

Tip: Eintracht Frankfurt to score over 2.5 goals @ 11/8
