Everton in talks over Serhou Guirassy

Everton are interested in signing Serhou Guirassy from Rennes in the summer transfer window, according to Le Parisien journalist Benjamin Quarez.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed on Twitter that talks between Premier League club Everton and Ligue 1 outfit Rennes over a loan deal for Guirassy are advancing well, and that the Guinea international forward could well be on his way to Goodison Park.

Rennes are on the verge of signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Arnaud Kalimuendo for €25 million, so the French club needs to find a club for Guirassy.

The Ligue 1 outfit could conclude a deal to send the 26-year-old forward to Everton on loan after they have done their own business with PSG.

Guirassy scored nine goals in seven Ligue 1 starts last season. The forward found the back of the net 10 times and provided one assist in 19 Ligue 1 starts for Rennes in 2020-21.
