With the World Cup qualifiers once again taking center stage this weekend, we have another stacked schedule from across the footballing globe. So, for those of you looking to stick on a Saturday acca, we have found a handful of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.
Saturday September 4th
BST 00:30 Nashville SC vs New York City
While Nashville might have been hit with that shock 2-1 defeat away at Inter Miami last month, the Eastern Conference side have bounced back in an eye-catching fashion. Putting in another dominant display away at former MLS champions Atlanta last weekend, the Yellows picked up a deserved 2-0 win on the road. Once again tipped as another landslide tip to clinch a Final Series spot, Head Coach Gary Smith has been quick to praise his side’s recent purple patch. Mustering seven points from their last three contests, it should also be noted that Nashville have lost just one of their last 13 MLS contests, a run that stems all the way back to June 19th. With their recent boost highlighted by a thumping 5-2 win against D.C. United last month, this weekend’s hosts should also be boosted by their continued success at the Nissan Stadium. Along with picking up 10 points from just their last four matchups in Tennessee, Smith’s side are yet to taste defeat in front of their own supporters since opening the 2021/22 campaign. On the flip side, while New York might have picked up an impressive 2-0 win against New England last time out, they have gained a reputation for their continued issues on the road. Recording just a pair of wins from their last six MLS contests, the Blues have failed to win any of their last five straight fixtures away from Yankee Stadium. Last seen on their travels getting hit with a deserved 1-0 loss away at Philadelphia Union, a high-flying Nashville appear at attractive odds.
Tip: Nashville SC draw no bet @ 10/11
15:00 Mansfield Town vs Harrogate Town
Starting with Saturday’s guests, while Harrogate might have only made their Football League debut last season, the Sulphurites have continued to impress many across England’s fourth-tier. Managing to keep the mood in their camp at a red-hot high earlier in the week when they turned their attention back to EFL Trophy duties, Simon Weaver’s side landed a thumping 3-1 win when they made the trip to this weekend’s opponents. Blowing Mansfield away on the road, the North Yorkshire outfit open up this weekend’s fixtures sat second in the League Two table and smelling the chance to cause another upset here. Holding a game in hand and already mustering 10 points from their opening four contests, Harrogate have also gained a reputation for their continued success away from Wetherby Road. Including that thumping 3-1 win when they made the trip to Nottinghamshire in midweek, Weaver’s side have won each of their last three away fixtures on the spin continuing on from their pre-season run. Also picking up an impressive 2-0 win away at Leyton Orient, a downbeat Mansfield could face another stern test on Saturday afternoon. Despite what was a hugely successful start to the 2021/22 campaign, the Stags have really come crashing back down to earth. Including that EFL Trophy defeat at the hands of this weekend’s guests, fans around the One Call Stadium find their side in the midst of a three-match losing run across all formats. Holding a worrying record against Harrogate and losing all three of their meetings against Weaver’s side, we could have an upset on our hands here.
Tip: Harrogate Town double chance @ 5/6
15:00 Dagenham & Redbridge vs Wealdstone
While Dagenham & Redbridge might have signed off their pre-season run with a 3-2 defeat against Billericay Town, Daryl McMahon’s side have certainly opened the 2021/22 campaign with a real flurry. Once again impressing on the road last weekend, the Daggers landed a deserved 2-0 victory away at Barnet and they really have stormed their way to the top of the National League title. With their sights firmly set on trying to book a Football League return this season, Saturday’s hosts have won all three of their opening fifth-tier contests. One of just three sides who can boast a 100% start to the new campaign, Dagenham have also continued to impress with their free-scoring displays. Along with landing back-to-back 3-1 and 4-2 wins against Stockport County and Bromley, McMahon has a pair of attacking marksmen enjoying their own free-scoring run. With last year’s top scorer Paul McCallum already bagging himself three strikes, it could be worth keeping an eye out for strike partner, Josh Walker. Also getting on the scoresheet away at Barnet last time out, the 23-year-old has now scored in his last four National League appearances on the spin continuing on from last season. On the flip side, while Wealdstone might have managed to pick up their first point of the season against Southend last weekend, the Royals are tipped to be at the heart of another relegation scrap again this year. Opening up the 2021/22 campaign with back-to-back defeats against Woking and Chesterfield, Stuart Maynard’s side know that they could face another stern test on the road.
Tip: Dagenham & Redbridge win & Josh Walker to score anytime @ 7/5
