With many tipping them as a leading pick to be hit with an immediate Championship return, former Leicester hero Claudio Ranieri has seen his side lose each of their last six matchups. While Sutton might have only made their Football League debut this season, the U’s have continued to impress many across England’s fouth-tier. Opening 2022 with an eye-catching 2-1 win against Exeter on home soil, the Londoners find themselves firmly leading the chase to secure back-to-back promotions. Likewise, suffering just a single fourth-tier defeat since November 20th, it’s also worth noting that the Yellows have scored over 1.5 goals in four of their previous five contests. On the flip side, blown away earlier in the week as they were hit with a 6-0 drumming against Wigan on home soil, it is fair to say that Oldham are dealing with a host of issues both on and off the pitch. Sat rock-bottom of the League Two table, Saturday’s hosts have failed to win any of their last six matchups across all formats. In a battle between two sides scrapping it out at opposite ends of the table, Sutton should be handed a real chance here.

It’s also worth highlighting, Saturday’s hosts have failed to pick up a single victory so far this season in what has become a real nightmare.
