8th November: Sunday’s Football Accumulator – 7/1

With a stacked Sunday schedule from across Europe on the cards, we are offered a host of noteworthy meetings to keep an eye out for this weekend. On that note, for those of you looking to stick on a Sunday acca, we have found you a handful of helpful tips to help boost your weekend flutter.

Sunday 8th November

BST 12:00 West Brom vs Tottenham

Starting with Sunday’s guests, despite a shock European defeat away at Antwerp when closing October, Tottenham have bounced back and will be confident of extending on their domestic run this weekend. Making a return to winning ways while on Europa League duties earlier in the week thanks to a 3-1 victory against Bulgarian outfit Ludogorets, Jose Mourinho’s men also find themselves in the midst of a six-match Premier League unbeaten run. Managing to collect 10 points from their last four top-flight outings, it is certainly worth keeping an eye out for a red-hot Harry Kane at the Hawthorns. Once again finding the net and adding to his European tally in midweek, the England skipper has already racked up 12 goals across all competitions so far this season. Also getting on the scoresheet in Tottenham’s 2-1 win against Brighton last weekend, it should also be noted that the 27-year-old has recorded three Premier League goals since returning from October’s international break. With West Brom in the midst of a woeful start to the New Year, Kane will undoubtedly lead Spurs’ charge on Sunday. Slumping to a dreadful 2-0 defeat against fellow top-flight returners Fulham last time out, this weekend’s hosts are one of just three sides who are yet to record a Premier League victory thus far. Seen as a leading contender to be hit with an immediate drop back down to the Championship this season, the Baggies should be in for a tough test on home soil.

Tip: Tottenham to score over 1.5 goals & Harry Kane to score anytime @ 11/10

14:00 Metz vs Dijon

While Metz might have found themselves almost stuck in limbo before last year’s Ligue 1 campaign was brought to an early halt, the Maroons have opened the 2020/2021 season in some style. Gaining plenty of plaudits from across France, Les Grenats managed to pick up what was a deserved 1-0 win away at Nimes last weekend and they open Sunday’s meeting still flirting with the European positions. Keeping up the momentum after entering October’s international break with a thumping 3-1 win against Lorient on home soil, Head Coach Frédéric Antonetti has seen his side secure back-to-back victories and they now find themselves in the midst of a shock six-match Ligue 1 unbeaten run. Collecting 10 points from their last four top-flight appearances and now going over 300 minutes without conceding a goal from open play, Metz have also continued to impress at the Stade Saint-Symphorien. Including a 2-0 win against Saint-Etienne last time out on home soil, the hosts have collected nine points from their last three home fixtures on the bounce, recording over 1.5 goals in each of those wins. On the flip side, having to settle for a point against top-tier returners Lorient last weekend, Dijon find themselves sat rock-bottom of the table and still looking for their first Ligue 1 victory so far. Already sat five points adrift of safety, it should also be noted that Dijon were hit with a 2-1 defeat when they faced off against Metz last season.

Tip: Metz win @ 7/10

19:00 Vasco da Gama vs Palmeiras

Starting with Sunday’s guests, keeping the mood in their camp at a real red-hot high after picking up a 1-0 win against RB Bragantino while on Copa do Brasil duties earlier in the week, Palmeiras have really impressed since bringing in new boss Abel Ferreira. Appointing the former PAOK Head Coach back in October, Verdão have continued to skyrocket up Brazil’s Serie A table and suddenly find themselves sat in the Copa Libertadores positions. Enjoying what has been by far their most fruitful spell of the 2020/2021 campaign, the Greens are in the midst of a five-match winning run across all competitions and have really impressed with their new-found resolve at the back. Recording yet another clean sheet against Bragantino on Thursday, Palmeiras have conceded just a single goal on their five-match winning run and they will be hugely confident of cashing in on their recent purple patch on Sunday evening. On the flip side, playing out a sluggish 0-0 draw against Venezuelan outfit Caracas on Carioca 1 duties in midweek, Ricardo Sá Pinto’s men have remarkably managed to win just one of their last 13 contests across all competitions. Even more worrying, the Blacks have collected just a single point over their last six Serie A appearances. Picking up a 2-1 win when they last faced off against this weekend’s hosts last year and unbeaten against Vasco since 2015, we’re backing a similar away victory for Palmeiras.

Tip: Palmeiras win & Under four goals @ 6/4
