Brisbane Roar extended their lead at the top of the A-League to 11 points with a 1-0 win over second-placed Adelaide United on Sunday.

In the process, the Roar pushed their unbeaten record to 19 matches and in touching distance of the league premiership.

A second-half strike from Jean Carlos Solorazno on 69 minutes was enough to see Ange Postecoglou’s side take maximum points.

In Sunday night’s other match, Melbourne Heart took a major step towards making the finals in their inaugural season with a 2-0 win over North Queensland Fury.

John Aloisi and Gerald Sibon scored in the second half to secure Heart’s spot in sixth on the table, four points clear of Wellington.
