Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is undergoing a medical ahead of a move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to Sky Sports. The 23-year-old goalkeeper will complete his transfer to the Gunners after he completes the medical.
Premier League club Arsenal will pay Championship club United £24 million for Ramsdale. The Gunners could also have to pay £6 million in add-ons depending on whether the 23-year-old goalkeeper becomes the number one at Arsenal in the long run.
Bernd Leno is the first-choice goalkeeper at Arsenal, but the Germany international is prone to making mistakes. Ramsdale is good with his feet and is only 23. Perhaps the Blades goalkeeper will not arrive at the Emirates Stadium as the first-choice goalkeeper, but he could become the number one between the posts for manager Mikel Arteta eventually.
