The agent of Milan defender Ignazio Abate has poured cold water on speculations linking his client with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The French giants have recently completed the signings of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva from Milan, but it looks as though they could do some more business with the Rossoneri.
Namely, the Saints were recently linked with international full-back Ignazio Abate.
The player’s representative has revealed PSG have not contacted his client, but has refused to rule out a switch to Parc des Princes.
“We haven’t spoken to anyone from Paris SG for the moment,” agent Andrea D’Amico said to Sky Sport Italia in an interview.
“I’ve read about the possible move in the newspapers, but I have not been contacted by anybody from the Paris club.
“The transfer market closes on August 31…”
The 25-year-old has developed into a first team regular at San Siro over the last few seasons and he even made Italy’s Euro 2012 squad.
Abate has made a total of 88 Serie A appearances for the Rossoneri, while he started three games for the Azzurri at the 2012 European Championship.
