Aberdeen have today confirmed the season-long loan signing of James Wilson from Manchester United. The 22-year-old has been awarded just a handful of opportunities throughout the course of his time at Old Trafford, and as the competition for starting places at the club continues to grow, Jose Mourinho appears to have considered Wilson to be someone who is no longer required.
Wilson has been out on loan across England over the last few years, spending time with Brighton & Hove Albion, Derby County and Sheffield United before eventually landing at Aberdeen. The Scottish side are bolstering their squad in an attempt to push Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premier League table, and after just two games, it seems as if the division could be wide open for the first time in a long time.
Aberdeen currently have four points from their first two games, and will be hoping that Wilson can help to bring them even more success.
