Abou Diaby reveals MLS talks

Former Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby is hoping to continue his career in Major League Soccer, according to his own admission.

The Frenchman was released from his contract at Marseille in June after he managed mere 5 league appearances in two years and he is again searching for a new club.

In spite of his injury nightmare that seems to be continuing, Diaby is not looking to end his playing career just yet.

What is more, the 31-year-old reveals that he could soon be moving to the United States and playing in the MLS.

“Retiring? I’ve thought about it, but my conclusion is that I want to work, to rehabilitate myself and to play football again,” he told Canal Football Club.

“Yes, I’ve had contacts in the United States. I had the opportunity to go there after Arsenal, but thought it was too soon.

“This time may be the right time.”

Diaby is set to spend another three or four months on the sidelines, and if all goes well he could be moving to the MLS in the New Year.
