Abramovich rejects Chelsea takeover bid

According to a recent report from The Daily Telegraph, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich recently turned down an offer from a Middle East consortium to purchase the club. Abramovich is believed to be holding out for a fee of around £3 billion in order to agree to the sale, but after not attending any games following months of arguing with the British government over a visa row, it seems as if there could be a few stumbling blocks in the way.

The offer in question was still said to be pretty lucrative, but in a world like this one, Abramovich needs specific figures or else he isn’t going to agree to the sale.

Roman’s introduction into life in Stamford Bridge injected new life into Chelsea Football Club all those years ago, and they’ll never be able to repay him for that. However, it certainly seems as if both parties are ready and willing to move on.
