Italy’s top league returns this weekend with another glut of incredibly interesting and important games. Things at the top are incredibly tight, while matters in midtable are following a similar vein. However, at the very bottom of the table, one side are already staring at relegation, and that side is Benevento, who host AC Milan on Sunday.

The home side have been in abysmal form this season. After 14 games they have no wins, no draws, and 14 defeats on the bounce. Benevento currently find themselves rock bottom of the table, nine points shy of Genoa in 17th place. They simply must find a way to turn things around and fast, but it is difficult to see where they are going to get the wins from. Indeed, they have found the back of the net just six times this season, conceding 34 times along the way. They have to be better right across the pitch, with both their attack and defence in poor form.

For AC Milan, it has been a disappointing season. The former-European heavyweights find themselves in seventh-place in the league with 20 points. Their points have come from six wins, two draws and six defeats, and they currently find themselves six points short of Sampdoria in sixth and the last European spot, while they have also played a game more. The fact Inter Milan are in second-place with 36 points compounds AC Milan’s campaign. However, we are still backing AC Milan with odds of 4/11 from Bet365.
