AC Milan close on Hakan Calhanoglu

Italian giants AC Milan are on the verge of agreeing a deal of Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu, according to WAZ newspaper.

The Rossoneri have been negotiating with the player’s current employers and they are expected to wrap up the transfer in the coming days.

Depending on the source, the transfer fee ranges from €20 million to €25 million, and even Calhanoglu’s agent confirmed the contact with AC Milan.

The 23-year-old missed the end of last season due to a four-month ban, imposed due to contract irregularities, but the Rossoneri seem to believe he will be ready for the new campaign.

Hakan Calhanoglu joined Bayer Leverkusen from Hamburg three years ago and he in turn scored 28 goals and produced 29 assists in 115 competitive appearances.
