Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport has suggested that AC Milan have all but agreed to sign playmaker Franco Vazquez from Palermo.
The Rossoneri attempted to recruit the highly rated footballer in the summer, but having sold Paulo Dybala to Juventus, the Rosanero were not ready to cash in on the other star player.
However, it would appear as through Palermo are prepared to sell Vazquez at the end of the season, with AC Milan close to reaching an agreement with chairman Maurizio Zamparini.
The Rossoneri aim to wrap up the deal as quickly as possible due to the fact that several other top clubs are keen on the 26-year-old.
And with Palermo happy to accept an offer in the region of €15m-20m, AC Milan are expected to close the purchase in the coming weeks.
Together with Paulo Dybala, Vazquez was the driving force behind Palermo’s uptrend in fortunes last term, having managed 10 goals and 11 assists in 37 league outings.
