Il Corriere dello Sport claims that Italian giants AC Milan are doing everything in their power to persuade striker Luiz Adriano to leave the club in January.
The Brazilian is no longer in the first team plans of head coach Vincenzo Montella, while he is one of the club’s highest earners and has more than three years left on his contract.
Russian Premier League high-flyers Spartak Moscow are reportedly keen on recruiting Adriano in the January window, and AC Milan chiefs now plan to persuade the player to accept an offer from Russia.
The Rossoneri vice-president Adriano Galliani will spend the New Year’s Eve in Brazil as he hopes to find an agreement with the striker’s agents, and everybody at the club hopes he will be the bearer of good news.
Luiz Adriano, 29, has only managed 4 goals in 33 Serie A appearances for AC Milan, but having impressed playing for Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League, he is still held in high regard by top European sides.
