AC Milan have opened talks with Chelsea over an ambitious move for Alvaro Morata, according to the Mail Online.
The Spain international moved to Stamford Bridge for a club record fee just twelve months ago but failed to produce his best form in his first season in England scoring just eleven league goals.
The Blues have been linked with a move for Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski which could threaten Morata’s place in Antonio Conte’s side and Milan are ready to pounce.
Juventus are also interested with the twenty-five-year-old having played for the Old Lady for two seasons before returning to Real Madrid ahead of his move to England.
Morata has scored thirteen goals in twenty-three outings for his country but was omitted from the squad for this summer’s World Cup finals in Russia.
Spain, who won the tournament in South Africa in 2010 are currently priced at 6/1 to lift the trophy this summer.
