Italian giants AC Milan are keeping close tabs on Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Erik Lamela, London Evening Standard has suggested.
The Rossoneri chiefs Massimiliano Mirabelli and Marco Fassone were in London last week to check on a number of potential targets, and media reports claim that the Argentine was one of the main reasons behind their trip.
It was Marco Fassone who was keen to bring Lamela to Inter Milan during his time at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, and he now wants to make the Argentine his first signing at AC Milan.
After impressing at AS Roma, the 24-year-old had a slow start to his career at White Hart Lane, but he has since managed to prove his worth, making 28 Premier League starts last season.
Lamela has so far scored just 8 goals in 84 league appearances for Spurs, which is enough to suggest he has yet to show his full potential, but he is reportedly in line for a new contract at White Hart Lane.
