Zenit defender Ezequiel Garay is one of the central defenders on AC Milan’s radar, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
It is no secret the Rossoneri aim to recruit a high-profile centre-back after the captures of Carlos Bacca, Luiz Adriano, Andrea Bertolacci and Jose Mauri seriously reinforced the midfield and attack.
AS Roma starlet Alessio Romagnoli is clearly the club’s number one target, but AC Milan are not prepared to improve their €25 million offer for the talented footballer.
And even if the Giallorossi value the player at €30 million, they may eventually decide to respect the defender’s desire to join their league rivals.
Should AC Milan fail to lure Romagnoli to San Siro, they will make a move on Zenit star Ezequiel Garay.
The 28-year-old has been performing at a very high level of late and he is now also considered a first team regular in the Argentina national team.
