Mexico international midfielder Hector Herrera has been offered to Serie A giants AC Milan, Tuttosport has learned.
The 27-year-old Porto star was linked with a move to Italy in the past with Napoli and Juventus said to be in the running for his signature.
The latest reports, however, claim that Herrera’s representatives have been in constant contact with AC Milan, attempting to strike a deal with Rossoneri.
The Mexican is under contract with Porto until 2019 and could be available for a transfer fee of around €20 million.
Calciomercato claims AC Milan are not interested in pursuing the opportunity to sign Herrrera, however, at this point in time.
Rossoneri spent over €100 million on new players last summer but saw their efforts to build a competitive side largely fail and the new owners are expected to reconsider their strategy for the summer transfer window which could include cutting the transfer budget short.
