According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Cesc Fabregas could be moving closer and closer towards a move away from Stamford Bridge – potentially as soon as January. It’s been well noted that AC Milan are in the driving seat when it comes to the Spaniard’s next destination, with Fabregas struggling to find much consistency at Chelsea in the Premier League this season.
His wages are believed to be a bit of an issue for the Italian club, who are currently suffering from FFP restrictions.
Cesc is likely moving into the last few years of his prime at the top level, but he’d still be reluctant to leave for a lesser price than he believes he’s worth. While that makes sense, he may struggle to find too many other clubs around Europe who are willing to fork out the necessary cash to land him – although there’s always the chance that he makes a move outside of Europe.
